Hi!
We are Bill and Kevin, two coprenurial guys who are not strangers to the new arts and entertainment district and in fact, we are among the areas’ pioneers. Over a decade ago, we created the city’s first theatre/café/art gallery hybrid in the space currently occupied by The Everyman Theater. We strongly believe in the potential of the Station North Arts and Entertainment district and jumped at the chance when we saw an opportunity to start another business in the area. We opened the Station North Arts Café Gallery in January 2007 and followed that with the opening of the Station North Fine Craft Gallery in the lower level in April 2007. The café has hosted many events since opening including: Mayor Sheila Dixon cutting the ribbon for the grand opening ceremony - breakfast roundtable with Housing Commissioner Paul Graziano - and City Council President Stephanie Rawlings Blake kicking off the Midday Music Series. The café was involved with welcoming the 2008 Artscape to the neighborhood and had a big presence in the new Green Market food court as part of that event. Kevin - I handle the media relations, marketing and community affairs aspects and Bill does the bookkeeping - however, we both share the daily tasks of selecting fresh produce and menu items, developing soups, preparing sandwiches and greeting guests. "We are excited to once again be a part of the rich cultural tapestry that the North Charles Street corridor offers," - Bill "It’s almost as if we never left," -Kevin
